ABL has not disclosed individual project or client names.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>ABL\u2019s onshore wind consultants are providing the expert services via the group\u2019s local presence in South Africa, headquartered in Cape Town, but with a second office in the Saldanha Bay Industrial Development Zone (SBIDZ). &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"alignright size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"500\" height=\"499\" src=\"https:\/\/abl-group.com\/abl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/Anne_Myers.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-11386\" style=\"width:197px;height:197px\" srcset=\"https:\/\/abl-group.com\/abl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/Anne_Myers.jpg 500w, https:\/\/abl-group.com\/abl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/Anne_Myers-300x300.jpg 300w, https:\/\/abl-group.com\/abl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/Anne_Myers-150x150.jpg 150w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cSouth Africa has a leading role to play in the wider continent\u2019s energy transition. It is second only to Morocco in Africa in terms of its energy transition commitments and technical potential. We are really pleased to have the chance to put our global expertise in renewable energies, both within solar PV and wind, to support South Africa in its journey to net-zero.&#8221; <\/p>\n<cite>Anne Myers, ABL\u2019s country manager for South Africa<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>Energy yield analysis services are being provided as part of <a href=\"https:\/\/abl-group.com\/abl\/consulting-and-engineering\/offshore-technical-due-diligence-and-advisory\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">technical due diligence<\/a> into the proposed sites, to be submitted to the Renewable Energy Independent Power Producer Procurement Programme (REIPPPP) \u2013 a South African government initiative to accelerate electricity generation via renewable energy sources including solar PV, onshore wind, small hydro, as well as landfill gas, biomass and biogas. If the bids are successful, they will proceed to financial close, followed by the construction phase.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"alignright size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"600\" height=\"600\" src=\"https:\/\/abl-group.com\/abl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/Oliver-Davies.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-24256\" style=\"width:221px;height:221px\" srcset=\"https:\/\/abl-group.com\/abl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/Oliver-Davies.jpg 600w, https:\/\/abl-group.com\/abl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/Oliver-Davies-300x300.jpg 300w, https:\/\/abl-group.com\/abl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/Oliver-Davies-150x150.jpg 150w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cWith the South African energy crisis deteriorating year-on-year and resulting in increased loadshedding, there is no time to lose with adding new generation capacity across the country. The REIPPPP has successfully introduced multiple GWs of utility scale renewable energy across the country, but multiple delays and setbacks have stalled the realisation of projects and created major industry uncertainty. We are very pleased to be working with numerous IPPs on their submissions into Bid Window 6 of the REIPPPP.
