The green ammonia will be converted back into green hydrogen to fuel the transport sector. The company is located in the NEOM region of Saudi Arabia.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"alignright size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/abl-group.com\/abl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/Bignold-7BW-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-29522\" width=\"140\" height=\"210\" srcset=\"https:\/\/abl-group.com\/abl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/Bignold-7BW-1.jpg 500w, https:\/\/abl-group.com\/abl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/Bignold-7BW-1-200x300.jpg 200w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 140px) 100vw, 140px\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>&#8220;This project is at the cutting edge of the energy transition. It will harness the carbon-free energy generated from abundant local wind and solar resources to generate hydrogen via electrolysis, which will then be transformed into ammonia for global distribution.&#8221;<\/p><p>Green hydrogen is recognised as key to global decarbonisation efforts. The NEOM Green Hydrogen Company is truly the first to move into making green hydrogen generation at big scale a reality, and we are delighted to play a small role in this pioneering undertaking.&#8221;<\/p><cite>David Bignold, Managing Director at Longitude Engineering <\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>Longitude has been appointed by Air Products Ltd. \u2013 the primary EPC contractor \u2013 to provide <a href=\"https:\/\/www.longitude-engineering.com\/services\/marine-design-upgrade-conversion\/maritime-civil-engineering\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">engineering support<\/a> on the export jetty and the interface between ammonia tankers and the jetty to ensure that the design meets project requirements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The scope of work includes engineering review of FEED design, pre-EPC risk review to minimize cost, schedule, and safety risks, EPC tendering support, EPC tender review, and support during detailed design and construction of the export jetty.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>&#8220;The NEOM green hydrogen project will play a significant role in accelerating the global energy transition, and we consider it a vote of confidence to be asked to contribute towards realising this vision.&#8221;<\/p><cite>Added David Bignold <\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>Longitude\u2019s current scope of work will be carried out between 2021 and 2024. The company has not disclosed the value of the contract.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Longitude Engineering, part of Oslo-listed <a href=\"http:\/\/www.abl-group.com\/abl\/\">ABL Group ASA<\/a>, provides independent engineering, design and analysis services, specialising in marine and vessel design, conversion and upgrade, and marine operations engineering. It includes within the company independent ship design specialists <a href=\"https:\/\/www.longitude-engineering.com\/services\/marine-design-upgrade-conversion\/osd-imt-vessel-design\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">OSD-IMT<\/a>.
