24 February 2016 \u2013 ADLER Solar, part of Oslo-listed Aqualis ASA, is set to open an office in London, UK, to ramp up its support level to the British solar industry.<\/strong><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

ADLER Solar is a technical and engineering service provider for the solar industry. It offers technical and engineering services for the entire lifecycle of photovoltaic (PV) power plants and PV modules. The company is headquartered in Bremen, Germany, but its operating service teams and PV experts are engaged in projects all over Europe. In Japan, ADLER Solar has been operating a joint venture, ADLER Solar Works, with YKD since 2015.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe have over the past year received an increasing amount of requests from the UK solar industry and we wish to springboard our global services through access to the London insurance market. Having a permanent office presence in London will enable us to provide even better on-the-ground support to both existing and potential clients in this market,\u201d says Gerhard Cunze, CEO of ADLER Solar.<\/p>\n

ADLER Solar\u2019s clients include solar energy plant manufacturers and operators, insurance companies, PV experts, project planners, wholesalers, installers, investors and banks and energy providers.<\/p>\n

In October last year, Oslo-listed energy consultancy group Aqualis ASA acquired a 49.9 percent ownership stake in ADLER Solar. ADLER Solar\u2019s new London office will be co-located with fellow Aqualis-subsidiaries AqualisBraemar and Offshore Wind Consultants Ltd.<\/p>\n

\u201cOne of our objectives following the acquisition was to utilize the Aqualis group\u2019s widespread international presence to fast-track further global expansion for ADLER Solar without adding costs to our clients or us. ADLER Solar\u2019s expansion into the UK is a good example of a successful execution of this plan,\u201d says David Wells, CEO of Aqualis ASA.<\/p>\n
