{"id":2311,"date":"2016-01-20T09:56:43","date_gmt":"2016-01-20T09:56:43","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/aqualis.no\/?p=2311"},"modified":"2016-01-20T09:56:43","modified_gmt":"2016-01-20T09:56:43","slug":"aqualis-offshore-to-support-petrofac-on-borwin-gamma-topside","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/abl-group.com\/abl\/all-media\/news\/aqualis-offshore-to-support-petrofac-on-borwin-gamma-topside\/","title":{"rendered":"AqualisBraemar to support Petrofac on BorWin gamma topside"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\"><b>19 January 2016 \u2013 Offshore marine and engineering consultancy AqualisBraemar, part of Oslo-listed Aqualis ASA, has been contracted by Petrofac to perform technical support services for its work on the BorWin gamma topside that is destined for the North Sea.<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><!--more--><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">A consortium between Siemens and Petrofac has been contracted by TenneT to design, build and install a 900 MW Offshore HVDC converter platform BorWin gamma topside (within the project BorWin3 which comprises the complete grid connection: converter at\u00a0 sea and on land and the cable as well). The converter platform will be installed in the German Exclusive Economic Zone in the North Sea, 130 kilometres off the\u00a0 coast at 40 metres water depth.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">AqualisBraemar\u2019s scope of work includes preparation of technical specifications for the supply of the leg mating units and deck support units, technical support during the procurement process, review of engineering documents from suppliers, and monitoring of the various stages of the fabrication process. AqualisBraemar\u2019s Singapore office will perform the work. Contract value is undisclosed.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">\u201cPetrofac is a major international player so we are very pleased to be able to support them on their work on the BorWin3 project.
