picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>About the CMDC<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The CMDC is funded by the UK Department of Transport and delivered in partnership with Innovate UK.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Announced in March 2020, and part of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/government\/news\/pm-outlines-his-ten-point-plan-for-a-green-industrial-revolution-for-250000-jobs\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Prime Minister<\/a><a href=\"http:\/\/s\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">&#8216;s ten point plan<\/a> to position the UK at the forefront of green shipbuilding and maritime technology, the CMDC supports 55 projects across the UK, all with the objective of reducing emissions from the maritime sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>About the project<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"alignright size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/abl-group.com\/abl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/Dean-Goves.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-19158\" width=\"250\" height=\"250\" srcset=\"https:\/\/abl-group.com\/abl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/Dean-Goves.jpg 500w, https:\/\/abl-group.com\/abl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/Dean-Goves-300x300.jpg 300w, https:\/\/abl-group.com\/abl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/Dean-Goves-150x150.jpg 150w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 250px) 100vw, 250px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/abl-group.com\/abl\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">ABL Group<\/a>, including group company&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.longitude-engineering.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Longitude Engineering<\/a>, will work in a consortium with&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/greenh2s.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Green Hydrogen Solutions<\/a>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.phc.co.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Poole Harbour Commissioners<\/a>&nbsp;on the concept development and feasibility study for a moored barge to generate, store and provide hydrogen to vessels bunkering at the same port.&nbsp; The port will store hydrogen produced via electrolysis using onshore renewables. Poole harbour will be used as a case study for demonstrating the environmental and commercial viability of the concept.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>&#8220;The project is aimed at providing rapid infrastructure for hydrogen production at the point of requirement.
