The recognition of this day is a significant tool to raise awareness of how to make work safe and healthy and of the need to raise the political profile of occupational safety and health.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"alignright size-large is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/abl-group.com\/abl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/ilo-day-poster-2021.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-18293\" width=\"162\" height=\"228\" srcset=\"https:\/\/abl-group.com\/abl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/ilo-day-poster-2021.jpg 420w, https:\/\/abl-group.com\/abl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/ilo-day-poster-2021-212x300.jpg 212w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 162px) 100vw, 162px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>The year 2020 was mainly dominated by the COVID-19 pandemic and the impact it has had on working lives \u2013 from shifting to new working arrangements to managing new risks in the workplace. It has highlighted the crucial importance of  proactive and adaptive management systems to the success of any business and the protection of occupational health. As a result, this year\u2019s World Day for Safety and Heath at Work focuses on <strong>Investing Now in Resilient Occupational Safety and Health Systems<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>AqualisBraemar LOC\u2019s Management Systems are long established and have supported the organisation to adapt to a number of internal and external matters, which have impacted the way in which we work, whilst always maintaining the focus on the group\u2019s bedrock principles of risk management and prevention. As an example, our workforce has adopted particularly well to the current teleworking conditions, and our global network across more than 300 locations and over 70 countries has enabled us to not only rapidly mobilise to service attendances around the world where necessary, but in doing so, to minimise travel and thereby minimising the risk of infection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As we are slowly beginning to re-open our offices, we remain risk aware and proactive.
