Chen joins an existing worldwide team of SCRs at LOC, which includes <a href=\"https:\/\/loc-group.com\/our-people\/kevin-highfield\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Kevin Highfield<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/loc-group.com\/our-people\/david-ireland\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">David Ireland<\/a>, in the Americas and <a href=\"https:\/\/loc-group.com\/our-people\/vaughan-williams\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Vaughan Williams<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/loc-group.com\/our-people\/nick-white\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Nicolas White<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/loc-group.com\/our-people\/jonathan-walker\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Jon Walker<\/a> in Singapore. Captain Heming will be based in LOC Shanghai.<\/p>\n<p>Captain Heming is a highly experienced Master Mariner, Salvage Master and Tow Master, with more than 30 years\u2019 experience in the shipping industry. He has commanded many maritime rescue operations as Salvage Master. He is a recognised industry expert in offshore towing operations, specifically of large modules and structures, and has overseen numerous towing operations.<\/p>\n<p>He contributed as a special expert in discussions and finalising of \u201cTowage Guidelines of Towage at Sea 2011\u201d, published by China Classification Society (CCS) and for \u201cTechnical Rules for Statutory Inspection of Maritime Towing 2011\u201d, published by the Maritime Safety Administration.<\/p>\n<p>Heming is also a recognised lecturer for China Pacific Insurance and Ministry of Transport.<\/p>\n<p>This appointment will further build on LOC\u2019s strong reputation and skillset in marine casualty and salvage operations, as well as the Group\u2019s expansion and capabilities within the shipping industry.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/loc-group.com\/our-people\/shi-wenchao\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Wenchao Shi<\/a>, Managing Director or LOC China, commented:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is a key appointment for both LOC in China and the wider Group\u2019s shipping capabilities.
