{"id":125411,"date":"2025-10-27T12:04:52","date_gmt":"2025-10-27T12:04:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/abl-group.com\/abl\/?p=125411"},"modified":"2025-12-22T11:16:25","modified_gmt":"2025-12-22T11:16:25","slug":"owc-and-hidromod-engaged-for-portuguese-wind-farm-areas","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/abl-group.com\/abl\/all-media\/news\/owc-and-hidromod-engaged-for-portuguese-wind-farm-areas\/","title":{"rendered":"OWC and Hidromod engaged for Portuguese wind farm areas"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>The&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ipma.pt\/en\/oipma\/quem\/ipma\/\">Portuguese Institute for Sea and Atmosphere (IPMA)<\/a>&nbsp;has appointed&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/abl-group.com\/\">ABL Group<\/a>&nbsp;company&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/owcltd.com\/\">OWC<\/a>&nbsp;and <a href=\"https:\/\/hidromod.com\/\">Hidromod <\/a>to support the geophysical and geotechnical surveys at two wind farm areas offshore Portugal.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>IPMA is Portugal\u2019s national authority for meteorology, aeronautical meteorology, climate, seismology, and geomagnetism. The organisation is currently leading a geophysical and geotechnical survey over two areas from the Allocation Plan for Offshore Renewable Energy (PAER) \u2013 Leix\u00f5es and Figueira da Foz.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/owcltd.com\/\">Renewable energy consultancy OWC<\/a>&nbsp;will provide specialist geophysical and geotechnical client representatives to oversee the offshore surveys with support from Portugal-based&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/abl-group.com\/abl\/consulting-and-engineering\/water-environmental-consultancy\/\">water and environmental consultants<\/a>,&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/hidromod.com\/\">Hidromod<\/a>&nbsp;\u2013 also part of ABL Group.
