The link will unlock access for more people across the UK to home-produced green electricity, increasing the resilience of the UK\u2019s transmission network and advancing the country\u2019s energy security and energy transition plans. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cEGL2 will bring UK-produced renewable energy to more households, better balancing energy supply with demand and significantly increasing the resilience of the network. We are proud to bring ABL\u2019s expertise in MWS and interconnectors to support this key national initiative,\u201d says <a href=\"https:\/\/abl-group.com\/abl\/people\/ashley-perrett\/\">Ashley Perrett<\/a>, ABL\u2019s country manager in Scotland.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>ABL\u2019s operation in Aberdeen, Scotland, has been awarded and will manage the project.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>ABL\u2019s scope of work includes the provision of technical review and approval of project and procedural documentation, calculations, and drawings. The team will provide suitability surveys of the fleet proposed for the marine transportation and installation (T&amp;I) operations, including DP assurance where required. The Aberdeen team will also review and approve all warranted operations with on-site attendances, supported by ABL\u2019s wider European MWS teams, including in Newcastle and London.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Cable laying operations are expected to commence in January 2028 and to run through to September the same year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>ABL is part of <a
