Rig Inspection Services: Global Expertise, Local Delivery<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n

Experienced marine assurance professional and drilling rig auditor, Stewart Gillies<\/a> will lead ABL\u2019s global offering in rig inspections under the title of Operations Manager. He will oversee the coordination and development of ABL\u2019s rig inspection programs worldwide.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Stewart is a Rig Inspection & Control Systems Subject Matter Expert and brings deep technical knowledge and operational insight across all rig types, offshore and onshore including drilling and marine control systems, dynamic positioning systems and cyber security. Stewart ensures clients receive a consistent, high-quality service worldwide, while expanding our rig inspection capabilities to meet evolving risks and market demands.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

DP & Critical Systems: Expanding Global Leadership<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n

We\u2019re also pleased to announce that Alessio Lombardi<\/a> has been appointed DP & Critical Systems Director – Global, expanding his previous Asia Pacific remit. Alessio will lead the development and coordination of our global DP and Critical Systems services, ensuring clients benefit from consistent standards and innovation across regions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Alessio will also chair our DP Steering Committee, driving continuous improvement and technical leadership across our DP offerings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Alessio brings to the role over 20 years of expertise in electrical engineering in the energy and marine sectors, combined with experience in managing engineering teams. He is an IMCA accredited DP (Dynamic Positioning) practitioner and has over 10 years in leading DP delivery teams.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

These updates follow the recent sad passing of Steven Lee, our former Group Director for Rig Inspection, DP, and Critical Systems, a much-loved colleague and member of the ABL family.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Steven was a highly respected industry leader whose legacy lives on in the strength of the teams he built and the standards that he set.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
