My interest in the marine industry started during my diploma in Marine and Offshore Technology and grew stronger through my degree in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering. What keeps me passionate is how dynamic and complex the industry is, there\u2019s always something new to learn, and it constantly challenges me to grow both technically and professionally.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Can you tell us about something exciting you are working on right now?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n
While I\u2019m not currently involved in one standout project, I really value the variety of tasks I support each day, they all contribute to my learning and keep me engaged as part of the team. I\u2019m also undergoing training with guidance from my manager, Tim, which has been a great opportunity for personal and professional development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
What do you think the future of energy and oceans looks like in Singapore and the wider APAC Region?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n
The future looks promising, with growing focus on green energy, offshore renewables, and sustainable practices in the maritime industry. I\u2019d like to shift the way women are perceived in the marine industry. There are still stereotypes to challenge and more progress needed in creating inclusive opportunities. I hope to be part of that change by continuing to grow, learn, and represent the value and capabilities women bring to this field.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
