ABL\u2019s asset integrity management<\/a> team has successfully developed a maintenance programme<\/a> for the redesign of an acid plant in the USA. ABL uncovered areas in which the plant could benefit from a comprehensive training regime<\/a> for on-site operations and maintenance staff, utilising the robust set of maintenance procedures provided during the project to enable this.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The overall scope of work for this assignment was to develop a maintenance build<\/a> based on the fundamentals of Reliability Centred Maintenance (RCM) and a failure modes, effects and criticality analysis (FMECA). ABL also developed maintenance strategies including a preventive maintenance schedule<\/a>, bill of materials (BoM)<\/a> for new assets, critical spares list<\/a> for new assets, and an asset hierarchy<\/a> for the acid plant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Further, ABL provided training<\/a> to site staff, as well as developed comprehensive work instructions for the applicable mitigating tasks, including preventive maintenance services, preventive maintenance and functional failures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

ABL\u2019s asset integrity management <\/a>teams in Houston<\/a>, Texas, managed the project, with support from the company\u2019s office in Calgary<\/a>, Canada.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
