{"id":121947,"date":"2024-10-03T08:03:00","date_gmt":"2024-10-03T07:03:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/abl-group.com\/abl\/?p=121947"},"modified":"2024-10-02T17:04:50","modified_gmt":"2024-10-02T16:04:50","slug":"abl-provide-marine-transportation-support-to-canadas-reef-project","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/abl-group.com\/abl\/all-media\/news\/abl-provide-marine-transportation-support-to-canadas-reef-project\/","title":{"rendered":"ABL provide marine transportation support to Canada\u2019s REEF project"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/abl-group.com\/abl\/\"><strong>ABL <\/strong><\/a><strong>has been contracted to provide marine advisory and <\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/abl-group.com\/abl\/loss-prevention\/marine-warranty-survey\/\"><strong>marine warranty survey (MWS)<\/strong><\/a><strong> services to the AltaGas and Royal Vopak\u2019s joint venture, to support the \u00a0Ridley Island Energy Export Facility (REEF) development in Canada.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"565\" height=\"355\" src=\"https:\/\/abl-group.com\/abl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/01_DJI_0929_565x355_0.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-121948\" srcset=\"https:\/\/abl-group.com\/abl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/01_DJI_0929_565x355_0.jpg 565w, https:\/\/abl-group.com\/abl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/01_DJI_0929_565x355_0-300x188.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 565px) 100vw, 565px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>REEF is a large-scale liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) and bulk liquids terminal with rail, logistics and marine infrastructure on Ridley Island, British Columbia, Canada.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>ABL\u2019s scope of work includes marine advisory and MWS for the transportation of critical and heavy project cargo, from both international and domestic suppliers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For the early planning phase, ABL&#8217;s marine advisory support services comprises commercial and technical bid evaluations as well as engineering design support. For the execution phase, ABL&#8217;s MWS services include independent third-party engineering review, <a href=\"https:\/\/abl-group.com\/abl\/loss-prevention\/marine-surveys-inspections-and-audits\/vessel-and-marine-assurance\/\">vessel inspection<\/a>, and site representation during cargo handling and transportation from overseas fabrication locations to Canada.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>ABL\u2019s involvement has already commenced and will continue until the first quarter of 2026. ABL has not disclosed the value of its contract.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>ABL\u2019s operation in Canada will lead the project, with support from ABL\u2019s offices in Houston, Texas, and China.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"alignright size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"517\" height=\"525\" src=\"https:\/\/abl-group.com\/abl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/David-Ballands.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-121954\" style=\"width:265px;height:auto\" srcset=\"https:\/\/abl-group.com\/abl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/David-Ballands.png 517w, https:\/\/abl-group.com\/abl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/David-Ballands-295x300.png 295w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 517px) 100vw, 517px\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe REEF project will receive critical equipment from several corners of the world.
