{"id":119983,"date":"2024-07-16T08:25:36","date_gmt":"2024-07-16T07:25:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/abl-group.com\/abl\/?p=119983"},"modified":"2024-07-16T11:27:02","modified_gmt":"2024-07-16T10:27:02","slug":"abl-to-identify-navigational-risk-to-german-north-sea-offshore-wind-sites","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/abl-group.com\/abl\/all-media\/news\/abl-to-identify-navigational-risk-to-german-north-sea-offshore-wind-sites\/","title":{"rendered":"ABL to identify Navigational Risk to German North Sea Offshore Wind Sites"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Energy and marine consultancy <\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/abl-group.com\/abl\/\"><strong>ABL<\/strong><\/a><strong> has been commissioned by the <\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bsh.de\/EN\/Home\/home_node.html\"><strong>Germany\u2019s Federal Maritime and Hydrographic Agency (Bundesamt f\u00fcr Seeschifffahrt und Hydrographie &#8211; BSH) <\/strong><\/a><strong>to carry out a navigational risk assessment of<a href=\"https:\/\/abl-group.com\/abl\/renewable-energy-engineering-consultants\/offshore-wind\/\"> offshore wind<\/a> farm sites in the N-10 identified area of interest in the German North Sea.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This latest award is in addition to <a href=\"https:\/\/abl-group.com\/abl\/all-media\/news\/abl-paves-way-for-north-sea-offshore-renewables\/\">ABL\u2019s ongoing project with BSH to provide a trilateral Formal Safety Assessment of development intentions within Danish, Dutch and German North Sea waters<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>&#8220;We are pleased to continue our collaboration with BSH to support early marine risk mitigation in the North Sea&#8217;s extensive future offshore wind plans. We have a great working relationship with BSH and look forward to applying the combination of our marine and renewable energy expertise to support future German offshore wind development.&#8221;<\/p>\n<cite>Tilo Klappenbach, ABL&#8217;s Country Manager in Germany<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>ABL\u2019s scope of work is to provide a comprehensive navigational risk assessment, including recommendations for risk mitigation measures. This project will draw on our understanding of the practical and regulatory constraints in the North Sea as well as technical competence in navigational risk assessment.
