{"id":118390,"date":"2024-06-20T09:00:00","date_gmt":"2024-06-20T08:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/abl-group.com\/abl\/?p=118390"},"modified":"2024-06-19T18:21:53","modified_gmt":"2024-06-19T17:21:53","slug":"abl-to-support-maritime-decarbonisation-in-the-maldives","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/abl-group.com\/abl\/all-media\/news\/abl-to-support-maritime-decarbonisation-in-the-maldives\/","title":{"rendered":"ABL to support maritime decarbonisation in the Maldives"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>20 June 2024 \u2013 Energy and marine consultancy <\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/abl-group.com\/abl\/\"><strong>ABL<\/strong><\/a><strong> has been appointed by the World Bank to carry out a nation level study on the strategy, regulatory framework and roadmap for decarbonising the maritime sector of the Maldives.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Key partners to ABL on this study are, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.port.mv\/\">the Maldives Port Limited (MPL)<\/a>, finance consultancy <a href=\"https:\/\/hhx.blue\/services\/corporate-financial-advisory-services\">HHX.blue<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.arcsilea.com\/\">Arcsilea<\/a>, and other consultants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The project has been commissioned by the World Bank Group and is aligned with PROBLUE\u2019s objectives to help countries chart a course towards a blue economy approach. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.worldbank.org\/en\/programs\/problue\">PROBLUE<\/a> is a multi-donor trust fund, housed at the World Bank, that supports the development of integrated, sustainable and healthy marine and coastal resources.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>ABL\u2019s scope of the work includes an assessment of the maritime transport sector in the Maldives and to support the development of a strategy, regulatory framework and roadmap to decarbonise the industry and meet the country\u2019s 2030 net-zero target.
