{"id":115371,"date":"2024-05-28T09:35:00","date_gmt":"2024-05-28T08:35:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/abl-group.com\/abl\/?p=115371"},"modified":"2024-05-28T08:53:03","modified_gmt":"2024-05-28T07:53:03","slug":"cooec-appoints-abl-for-safaniya-jacket-installations","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/abl-group.com\/abl\/all-media\/news\/cooec-appoints-abl-for-safaniya-jacket-installations\/","title":{"rendered":"COOEC appoints ABL for Safaniya jacket installations"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>28 May 2024 <\/strong>\u2013 <a href=\"https:\/\/abl-group.com\/abl\/\"><strong>ABL<\/strong><\/a><strong> has been awarded a contract by <\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnoocengineering.com\/col\/col50199\/index.html\"><strong>China Offshore Oil Engineering Company (COOEC)<\/strong><\/a><strong> to provide marine warranty survey (MWS) services for the build-out of the CRPO 122 project at the Safaniya oil field in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA).<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Safaniya Oil Field is the world\u2019s biggest conventional offshore oil field both by recoverable reserves and production capacity. It is operated by Saudi Aramco and is located in the north-west corner of the Arabian Gulf, approximately 260 kilometres north of Dhahran.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Under the contract, energy and marine consultancy ABL will provide MWS to review, survey and approve all operations relating to the transportation &amp; installation (T&amp;I) of 13 shallow water steel jackets, associated piles, conductors and other project critical items. The steel jackets and other associated items under ABL\u2019s scope of work, will be transported from Qingdao in China to the Safaniya Oil Field, offshore KSA.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>ABL\u2019s team in China will manage the contract and on-site attendances in China. It will be supported by ABL\u2019s teams in Bahrain and KSA, to resource onsite attendances in the Middle East. In addition, there are multiple locations involved in the T&amp;I work.
