Longitude<\/a>, the engineering and design branch of LOC Group<\/a>, is pleased to announce the appointment of James Sugden<\/a> as head of the Marine Systems Engineering team. His appointment expands the Company\u2019s expertise in the design and engineering of marine systems on ships<\/a>, boats and offshore assets, which James will oversee.<\/p>\n

James is a registered Chartered Marine Engineer<\/a>, with over 12 years\u2019 experience in the design of conventional marine and FPSO<\/a> specific piping, mechanical and electrical systems. He has worked with several leading companies across the maritime<\/a>, defence<\/a> and offshore Oil & Gas<\/a> sectors, including BAE Systems, BW Offshore, SBM, Bluewater as well as for shipyards. James joins Longitude from North Oil Company in Qatar, where he was a Marine Engineer.<\/p>\n

Based in Longitude\u2019s Newcastle office<\/a>, James will lead the team across all of the offices in Asia<\/a> and Europe focussed on newbuild and conversion<\/a> marine and FPSO projects.<\/p>\n

This appointment will further build Longitude\u2019s strong reputation and broad capabilities in marine operations engineering<\/a>, design and analysis services for vessel design, modification, and conversion<\/a>.<\/p>\n
