17 October 2014 \u2013 AqualisBraemar, part of Oslo-listed Aqualis ASA, has bagged three new contract awards for the company\u2019s Middle East offices. <\/strong><\/p>\n

The company\u2019s Dubai office has entered into an agreement with ONGC to provide the oil company with rig moving and marine warranty services offshore India. The initial contract is for nine months, with options to renew it for further 12-month periods.<\/p>\n

AqualisBraemar has also secured an award from an undisclosed client for providing detailed engineering for the conversion of two jack-up rigs into mobile offshore production units (MOPU). Its Dubai office will manage one of the projects while the company\u2019s Houston office will lead the other MOPU conversion.<\/p>\n

The third deal is an annual call-out contract between AqualisBraemar\u2019s Abu Dhabi office and Total ABK for work at the Abu Al Bukhoosh field in Abu Dhabi, UAE. Scope of work includes marine inspections, rig moving and general marine services.<\/p>\n

Contract values are undisclosed.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Middle East is still the world\u2019s biggest oil and gas market. Building up a strong presence here has therefore been a priority for us, because it puts us in a position where we can compete for jobs like these,\u201d says Reuben Segal, director \u2013 Middle East, AqualisBraemar.<\/p>\n

In mid-September, AqualisBraemar announced that it will provide offshore rig moving services over the next three years for Saudi Aramco\u2019s jack-up rigs operating in the Arabian Gulf.<\/p>\n
