JLA<\/a>, an LOC Group<\/a> company, which has traditionally focused on location approvals for Drilling Contractors, is pleased to announce the expansion of its services into shipping operations and engineering consultancy services.<\/p>\n

Established in 1976, JLA provides a well-established approach to the approvals process for the moving and location of mobile offshore drilling units (MODU)<\/a>. The company regularly provides approval for more than 250 MODU each year, with the vast majority being Jack-Up Units.<\/p>\n

In response to rapidly changing markets, JLA has expanded its well tested methodology to support the wider LOC group in the following service areas:\u00a0engineering consultancy, attendances and approvals\u00a0of Dry transportations, approvals of Ocean Tows, approvals of cargo shipments and audit services.<\/p>\n

Examples of recent projects across these new service areas include towage approval for the transport of a damaged vessel, from the USA to Europe, the execution of internal security audits <\/a>and approval for the transport of a general cargo<\/a> from Houston to Bangladesh.<\/p>\n

Since LOC acquired the Company in 2017, JLA has seen year-on-year growth. The Company is based in Houston but undertakes work on a worldwide basis and utilises as and when required the wider LOC Group network of 35 offices.<\/p>\n
