{"id":57308,"date":"2020-06-19T12:26:00","date_gmt":"2020-06-19T11:26:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/abl-group.com\/abl\/?post_type=case-study&#038;p=57308"},"modified":"2024-02-29T11:02:01","modified_gmt":"2024-02-29T11:02:01","slug":"development-of-maintenance-craft-and-repair-procedures","status":"publish","type":"case-study","link":"https:\/\/abl-group.com\/abl\/case-studies\/development-of-maintenance-craft-and-repair-procedures\/","title":{"rendered":"Development of Maintenance Craft and Repair Procedures"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<div class=\"wp-block-cover alignfull has-parallax\" style=\"min-height:430px;aspect-ratio:unset;\"><span aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-cover__background has-blue-background-color has-background-dim-70 has-background-dim\"><\/span><div role=\"img\" class=\"wp-block-cover__image-background wp-image-57586 has-parallax\" style=\"background-position:50% 50%;background-image:url(https:\/\/abl-group.com\/abl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/AE_photo_plant_refinery_013-scaled.jpg)\"><\/div><div class=\"wp-block-cover__inner-container is-layout-constrained wp-block-cover-is-layout-constrained\">\n<p><strong>Asset:<\/strong> Onshore Gas Plant<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Duration:<\/strong> 2 months<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Project Objective:<\/strong> To create optimised maintenance procedures for assurance in equipment reliability and rationalisation of maintenance expenditure<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Location:<\/strong> Oman<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:48px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-what-we-did\">What we did <\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Cleansed and enriched the asset register for the site compressor stations and solar turbine units<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Facilitated workshops with the client SME&#8217;s (Subject Matter Experts)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Interviewed the maintenance team to capture site specific information<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Developed a suite of site specific maintenance craft and repair procedures<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Packaged and scheduled the sequences for the maintenance procedures<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Created CMMS (computerized maintenance management system) upload templates for implementation<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:39px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-the-results\">The results<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Increase<\/strong>&nbsp;in equipment reliability<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Maintenance expenditure is now&nbsp;<strong>rationalized<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The maintenance schedule is optimized to&nbsp;<strong>reduce<\/strong>&nbsp;peaks and troughs in maintenance execution<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Critical spares and special tools are&nbsp;<strong>now listed<\/strong>&nbsp;against the planned maintenance<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The new procedures and plans are&nbsp;<strong>implemented<\/strong>&nbsp;in the CMMS against the relevant tag numbers<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:38px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-cover alignfull\" style=\"min-height:280px;aspect-ratio:unset;\"><span aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-cover__background has-blue-background-color has-background-dim-100 has-background-dim\"><\/span><div class=\"wp-block-cover__inner-container is-layout-constrained wp-block-cover-is-layout-constrained\">\n<figure class=\"wp-block-pullquote has-medium-font-size\"><blockquote><p>&#8220;My team and I were very impressed with the skills, knowledge and experience of the ABL consultants. Following a successful site visit, the workshop sessions enabled the end users of the procedures to be fully engaged in their creation.
